The Kamakhya Temple, located on the Nilachal Hill in the western part of Guwahati city, Assam, India, is a venerable Hindu temple dedicated to the mother goddess Kamakhya. This temple holds the distinction of being one of the oldest among the 51 Shakti Pithas. It comprises four chambers, namely the Garbhagriha and three mandapas referred to locally as Calanta, Pancharatna, and Natamandira, aligned in an east-to-west direction. This sacred place serves as a focal point for Tantra worship and annually draws in numerous devotees for the Ambubachi Mela, a prominent festival. Additionally, the temple hosts the Manasha Puja and celebrates Durga Puja during Navaratri in the autumn season.
