The Devi Darshan Tour Package is an all-encompassing spiritual journey that encompasses several revered Hindu shrines in Northern India. Commencing from Delhi, this pilgrimage takes you through Chandigarh, Nainadevi, Chintpurni, Jwala Ji, Kangra Devi, Dharamsala, and McLeod Ganj, ultimately concluding in Katra, where you can visit Vaishno Devi before continuing on to Jammu and Amritsar.

The expedition commences with a climb to the Naina Devi temple atop a hill in Bilaspur district, followed by a visit to the sacred shrine of Chintpurni, where devotees seek blessings from Mata Shaktipeeth. The journey then proceeds to the historic temple town of Jawalaji, housing an eternal flame that has been burning continuously for centuries. The next destination is the Kangra Devi temple, nestled amidst picturesque mountains and offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding valleys.

Further to the north lies Dharamsala, the residence of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, where one can immerse themselves in Tibetan culture or simply enjoy its serene ambiance. Mcleodganj, known as “Little Lhasa,” is also part of this pilgrimage, offering both breathtaking natural beauty and spiritual rejuvenation. Finally, reaching Katra after traversing scenic mountainous roads brings you to the pilgrimage site of Vaishno Devi Mandir, dedicated to Goddess Durga, who grants the fulfillment of wishes.

Itinerary

Day 1: Delhi – Chandigarh

Upon your arrival at Delhi Railway Station, you will receive a warm welcome. From there, you will be transferred to Chandigarh. En route, you will have the opportunity to visit Mata Mansa Devi Mandir near Majra. This temple is revered as the sacred dwelling place of the Manasa Goddess. Pilgrims flock to this site to tie threads around the tree, as it is believed that doing so can make their wishes come true. Once you arrive in Chandigarh, you will check in at your hotel. After a brief period of rest, you can embark on a city tour to explore the local attractions. Your overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 2: Chandigarh – Nainadevi – Chintpurni

In the early morning, begin your journey to the revered Shri Nainadevi Temple. This temple is situated atop a hill in the Bilaspur District. You can reach the hill's summit either by ascending the concrete stairs or by using the popular cable car facility, which is a favorite among pilgrims. The temple holds great sanctity and is associated with various mythologies. Afterward, continue your drive to Chintpurni, which takes approximately 4-5 hours from Chandigarh to Himachal.

Day 3: Chintpurni – Jwala Ji – Kangra Devi – Dharamsala

In the morning, embark on a scenic drive towards the picturesque hill station of Dharamshala. The journey takes approximately 4 hours by road. Along the way, make stops to visit Mata Jwala Devi and Brijeshwari Temple in Kangra. The Jwala Ji Shrine is renowned for its exquisite beauty, while the Brijeshwari Temple is famous for its intricate architecture and the rich rituals conducted there. After these visits, continue your journey to Dharamshala. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Dharamsala

Dharamshala, nestled in the upper reaches of the Kangra Valley, has earned its fame among tourists due to its stunning location and picturesque backdrop. Today is dedicated to exploring this charming hill station. Begin your day with a visit to the Chamunda Devi Temple in the morning, a sacred shrine dedicated to Goddess Shakti. In the afternoon, embark on a tour to the Dalai Lama Monastery and the Bhagsu Nag Temple. Your overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 5: Dharmshala – Mecleodganj – Katra

After an early breakfast, start your day with a visit to Dharamshala and McLeod Ganj. You will explore the Tibetan Monastery, including the Dalai Lama Temple, with local jeeps as your mode of transportation. After this enlightening visit, you will be transferred to Katra. Upon reaching Katra, check in at your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 6:- Katra – Vaishno Devi – Katra

In the early morning, embark on a trek to the sacred Mata Vaishno Devi shrine, which is located 12 kilometers away. You have the option to undertake this journey on foot, by pony, or you can hire a helicopter service directly for the trek. After seeking the blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi, return to Katra and spend the night at your hotel.

Day 7:- Katra – Jammu – Amritsar Sightseeing

Early in the morning, following breakfast, you will be transferred to Jammu. There, you will visit the famous Raghunath Temple, a revered Hindu temple. Afterward, continue your journey to Amritsar.

In Amritsar, your sightseeing begins with a visit to the Golden Temple, the most significant Sikh shrine often referred to as the Mecca for Sikhs. It stands as a living symbol of Sikh spiritual and historical traditions.

Next, explore Jallianwala Bagh, a historic site where a tragic event occurred on April 13, 1919, when British and Gurkha soldiers opened fire on an unarmed gathering, resulting in the loss of hundreds of civilian lives.

In the evening, visit the Indo-Pak Wagah Border to witness the Flag Retreat Ceremony. Wagah is an army outpost located 30 kilometers from Amritsar on the Indo-Pak border. The highlight of the evening is the Beating the Retreat ceremony, where soldiers from both countries engage in precise drill movements as they lower their respective national flags. As the sun sets, patriotic fervor intensifies, and the area is illuminated, marking the end of the day's proceedings amid enthusiastic applause. You will spend the night in Amritsar.

Day 8: Amritsar – Delhi

After enjoying breakfast in the morning, embark on your journey back to Delhi. Upon your arrival in Delhi, you will be dropped off at the airport or railway station for your onward journey to your destination.
